Hello everyone! For those cooking enthusiasts who requested a chicken dish recipe, this time I'd like to share a recipe for chicken baked in foil.
Ingredients
- 1 shallot (thinly sliced)
- 3 stalks spring onion (cut into 1-inch lengths)
- 5 slices ginger
- 4 cloves garlic (peeled and smashed with the flat side of a knife)
- 1 whole chicken leg quarter (or 200 grams of your preferred cut)
- 1/2 bell pepper (cut into small squares)
- 3 shiitake mushrooms and one other type of mushroom (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon clear fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sake or Japanese rice wine
- 25g butter and 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
Step-by-step Instructions
1. When you're ready to wrap in foil, first spread out the foil on a flat surface. Then place the garlic, shallot, ginger, and spring onion right in the center.
2. Place the piece of chicken on top of the onions. Then brush the chicken with olive oil. Place the bell pepper and shiitake mushrooms around the sides of the chicken. Then drizzle the fish sauce and sake over the chicken and mushrooms.
3. Next, cut the butter into small squares and place it on top of the chicken and mushrooms.
4. Place the remaining mushrooms around the sides of the chicken piece.
5. Next, fold the foil to fully enclose the ingredients.
6. Then place it in a preheated oven and bake at a high temperature for about 30 minutes.
Once the time is up, you'll have a delicious, aromatic chicken dish baked in foil, full of flavor.
