Hello everyone! For those who love noodle salads, this time I'd like to share how to prepare a Thai-style noodle salad that resembles the shape of fried noodles.
Ingredients
- 5 oz noodles
- 1 small bowl of thinly sliced cabbage
- Half a small bowl of thinly julienned carrot
- Half a small bowl of thinly sliced coriander
- Half a small bowl of thinly sliced spring onion
- 5 tablespoons crushed peanuts
- 1 small bowl of boiled chicken (shredded)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 4 tablespoons fish sauce, and 2 tablespoons honey
- 5 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Step-by-step instructions
1. Soak the noodles in warm water for about 30 minutes.
2. Pour water into a pot and bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling, add the noodles and cook for about 2 minutes. As soon as 2 minutes is up, immediately scoop the noodles into a large bowl.
3. In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of fish sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and chili powder, and mix thoroughly.
Pour the resulting fish sauce mixture over the noodles and mix well.
4. Next, add the cabbage and carrot into the bowl of noodles and mix well. Then add half of the spring onion, half of the coriander, and half of the peanuts, and mix thoroughly.
5. After tasting for mild saltiness, you can add a little more salt if needed.
6. Transfer the finished noodles onto a plate. Arrange the chicken on top of the noodles. Then also arrange the remaining half of the spring onion, half of the coriander, and half of the peanuts on top of the noodles.
Right before eating, mix it thoroughly and enjoy it deliciously.
