Hello everyone. This time, I'd like to share a recipe for making a traditional Japanese dish, a Japanese-style pancake.

It's an Osaka-style beef and egg pancake.

Ingredients

  • 2 full bowls of flour
  • 20 tablespoons of water
  • A little cabbage (thinly sliced)
  • 6 tablespoons of thinly sliced spring onions
  • 4 or 6 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • About 12 slices of beef (pork slices can also be used)

Step by step instructions

1. Put the flour into a bowl, add water, and stir until it becomes a batter. Then place it in the refrigerator and let it rest for about 1 hour.

2. When the set time is up, pour half of the batter into another bowl.

3. Into this batter bowl, add a quarter of the cabbage and 1 tablespoon of spring onions, and mix thoroughly.

4. Then crack in 1 egg and mix thoroughly.

5. Heat a pan and add a little oil.

Then pour in the batter mixed with egg and fry for a few minutes.

6. Meanwhile, in another pan, fry about 4 slices of beef for about 2 minutes.

Place the fried beef slices on top of the egg batter from earlier.

7. Then flip it over to the other side and fry until it turns golden brown.

Continue frying in the same way until all the remaining batter is used up.

Once all these steps are complete, you'll have a delicious beef and egg pancake ready.
