For those who love Korean food, this time I'd like to share a recipe for Japchae, a traditional Korean dish.
Ingredients
- Pork belly (or beef or chicken) 8 oz (cut into strips about 2.5 inches long)
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 eggs, a little salt and cooking oil
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon ground pepper and 5 cloves of finely minced garlic
- 8 oz glass noodles (soaked in cold water for about 40 minutes)
- 8 pieces wood ear mushrooms (wash and soak in cold water for about 30 minutes)
- 8 oz shiitake mushrooms (sliced into long thin strips)
- 1 bulb garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 carrot (peeled and thinly sliced into 2-inch lengths) and 8 oz spinach (washed, with leaves and stems separated)
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil, 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Step-by-step preparation method
1. In a bowl, add the pork (or chicken or beef) with 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and mix well. Then cover and marinate for about 5 minutes.
2. After 5 minutes, heat a pan, add the pork and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes. Then transfer to a plate.
3. Beat 2 eggs with a little salt.
Add cooking oil to the pan and fry the eggs.
Slice the cooked fried egg into thin strips.
4. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, ground pepper and garlic, and mix well.
5. In the pan, add the wood ear mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, carrot, garlic, 4 tablespoons cooking oil and 4 tablespoons water, and mix well.
Then place the spinach on top. Put the glass noodles on top of the spinach. Then pour in the previously mixed soy sauce sauce.
6. Then place the pan on the stove, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes.
7. Then add the fried pork, 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, and stir-fry well. Taste and adjust the seasoning, then transfer to a plate.
Then garnish with the sliced fried egg strips, and enjoy it deliciously.
