Hello everyone! For those who love grilled dishes, this time I'd like to share how to prepare Korean-style grilled beef.

Ingredients

  • 800 grams beef
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 spring onion stalks (thinly sliced)
  • Half a carrot (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons sugar, and 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 apple or pear
  • Half an onion, 1 tablespoon thinly sliced garlic, and 1 teaspoon thinly sliced ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper powder

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Cut the apple or pear into small pieces. Then put the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice wine, apple, half an onion, garlic, ginger, and black pepper powder into a blender and blend until it becomes a smooth paste.

2. Slice the beef thinly. Then place it into a large bowl. Pour in the blended mixture prepared earlier and massage it so the beef is well coated.

After that, add the sesame oil and massage again until well mixed.

Once done, cover the bowl tightly and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours. (If you have time, you can marinate it overnight for a better flavor.)

3. Next, heat a regular pan or a grill pan. Add the cooking oil. Then add the marinated beef along with the onion and carrot, and grill for about 3 to 5 minutes until the beef is cooked through.

Place the grilled beef onto a plate and sprinkle with spring onion and sesame seeds.

And there you have it - a delicious Korean-style grilled beef dish. It tastes even better when eaten together with kimchi.
