Hello everyone! For those food lovers who love fried chicken but have been avoiding it out of fear of rising calories and concerns about health, I'd like to share this time a recipe for Japanese-style fried chicken that is both healthy and delicious.
Ingredients
- 50 kyat-tha (viss unit) of boneless, skinless chicken thigh meat
- A little peanut oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Japanese cooking wine (sake)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- 1 teaspoon thinly sliced ginger
- 12 tablespoons corn flour
- A little salt and ground pepper
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a small bowl, add the soy sauce, Japanese cooking wine, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger, and mix well until combined. Then add the chicken into the bowl and massage it thoroughly. After that, cover the bowl of chicken tightly and marinate it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
2. In another bowl, mix the corn flour, salt, and ground pepper thoroughly.
3. Once the chicken has finished marinating, coat each piece of chicken with the corn flour mixture.
4. Heat a pot and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and fry for about 2 minutes. Once the chicken pieces turn light brown, remove them onto a plate. Fry all the chicken pieces the same way.
5. Fry the already-fried chicken pieces a second time. This time, fry them in hot oil for about 1 minute. Once the chicken pieces turn deep brown, remove them onto a plate.
Once all these steps are complete, you'll have delicious, crispy Japanese-style fried chicken.
You can enjoy it deliciously by dipping it in your favorite sauce or dip.
