These Chinese Egg Rolls, wrapped with pork and vegetables and fried until crispy, are an Asian-style appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 pound pork
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
  • 3 cups Coleslaw Mix
  • 1/4 cup sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pack Egg Roll Wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil (for frying)

Step-by-step Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the pork, salt, and black pepper, and cook until browned. Once browned, add the garlic and ginger and continue cooking for about 30 seconds.

Add the Coleslaw Mix and onion, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the cabbage softens. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil, then set aside briefly. Brush the beaten egg mixture onto the Egg Roll Wrappers and add the filling. After rolling, use the beaten egg to seal the edges.

Pour oil into a deep pot and heat it to 350 degrees. Fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Once cooked, you can enjoy them deliciously.
