Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 full bowls
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Eggs - 3 or 4 (beaten)
  • Thinly sliced spring onion - 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Finely chopped garlic - 1 tablespoon
  • Crab meat - 1 full bowl
  • Fish sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
  • Ground black pepper

Step-by-step Instructions

1. In a plate, mix the rice with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil until evenly combined.

2. Heat a pot/wok and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Then add the beaten eggs and stir-fry until well cooked. Once done, transfer to a plate.

3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the pot. Add the white parts of the spring onion and sauté. Then add about half of the garlic and sauté until fragrant.

4. Then add the crab meat and stir-fry for about 15 seconds. Add 1 teaspoon of soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of fish sauce. Stir-fry for about 20 seconds, then transfer to the plate.

5. Add the remaining oil and garlic into the pot and sauté. Add the rice and fry for about 1 minute. Add the remaining soy sauce and fry for about 2 minutes.

6. Then add the fried crab and fry for about 40 seconds. Once done, add the fried egg and stir-fry for a few more seconds.

7. Add the remaining spring onion. Add ground black pepper and taste for saltiness and adjust as needed.
