Hello everyone! For those who love fried chicken, this time I want to share a fried chicken cutlet recipe that is a Japanese dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 1½ teaspoons black pepper powder
- 60 grams flour
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 240 grams breadcrumbs
- 16 tablespoons vegetable oil
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut each piece of chicken breast in half through the middle. Then place it in a bowl and rub evenly with soy sauce and sake. Cover and let it marinate for 15 minutes to up to 4 hours. If marinating for a long time, keep it in the refrigerator.
2. Once the marinating time is up, rub the chicken again evenly with 1 teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of black pepper powder, and flour.
3. Mix the beaten eggs with the soy sauce mixture used to marinate the chicken, then dip the chicken pieces into this mixture.
4. Mix the breadcrumbs evenly with salt and black pepper powder. Coat the chicken pieces with the breadcrumbs.
5. Heat a pot and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and fry for about 2 to 3 minutes. When the chicken turns golden brown, flip it to the other side and fry for another 2 to 3 minutes.
6. Cut the fried chicken pieces into bite-sized portions and enjoy deliciously together with rice.
