For those who can't eat spicy chicken curry, this time we're sharing a recipe for sweet chicken cooked with beans.
Ingredients
- About 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut each piece into 3 or 4 slices)
- A little turmeric powder, salt, and ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 onion (thinly sliced) and 4 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon of thinly sliced ginger
- 2 cups of chicken stock (32 tablespoons)
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of corn flour
- 1 small bowl of beans
Step-by-step instructions
1. Mix the chicken pieces thoroughly with salt, ground pepper, and turmeric powder.
2. Heat a pot and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and stir-fry until they turn a light brown color (about 80 percent cooked).
Then transfer to a plate.
3. Add the sliced onion to the pot and stir until softened. Add the ginger, garlic, and a little turmeric powder, and stir-fry in the oil until fragrant.
4. Then add the chicken stock and corn flour, and let it simmer until the liquid thickens.
Once the sauce has thickened, add the chicken and beans, and simmer until the chicken is fully cooked.
Once the chicken is cooked and the sauce has reduced, you can take it off the stove.
And there you have it — a bowl of sweet chicken cooked with beans.
