When we say Croissants, we tend to think of French bread. Actually, Croissants are a type of bread that originated in Austria in the 13th century. Back then, Croissants were baked in various different shapes.
Nowadays, Croissants are baked in a spiral shape, so some people casually call them by the Myanmar-adapted term "spiral bread."
