Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share the recipe for Honey Glazed Meatballs, a favorite dish loved by both kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef (or pork or chicken), finely minced
- 1 egg
- 1 bowlful of bread crumbs for frying
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 4 tablespoons thinly sliced spring onion
- 1 teaspoon salt and half a teaspoon black pepper powder
Ingredients needed to make the honey sauce
- 4 tablespoons (or 2 tablespoons) chili sauce
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- Half a teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon thinly sliced ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced into strips, sesame seeds and 2 wedges of lime (for garnish)
Step-by-step preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, add the finely minced meat, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, spring onion, salt and black pepper powder, and knead thoroughly until well combined.
2. Next, scoop up the mixed meat mixture with a tablespoon and roll it into balls. Place the meatballs in a row on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
3. Next, put it in the oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.
4. For the next step, you need to make the honey sauce. In a small pot, add the chili sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger and spring onion.
5. Stir thoroughly and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until it comes to a boil.
6. Place the cooked meatballs into a large bowl. Then pour the honey sauce over them and mix thoroughly. (Be careful not to break the meatballs apart)
7. And there you have it - your Honey Glazed Meatballs are ready. Serve over a plate of rice, garnish with carrot strips, lime wedges and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and enjoy the delicious flavor.
