Hello everyone! For those who love fried rice, I'd like to share a recipe for Thai-style sweet and sour fried rice.
Ingredients
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 (cut into small squares)
- Garlic - 3 cloves (finely sliced)
- Mushrooms - 4 pieces (cut into small squares)
- Carrot - 1 (cut into small squares)
- Bell pepper (red) - 1 (cut into small squares)
- Cooked rice - 2 bowls
- Tamarind juice - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh chilies - 3 pieces (thinly sliced)
- Pineapple - 8 tablespoons (cut into small squares)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 5 minutes until fragrant.
2. Add the mushrooms, carrot, and bell pepper, and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the rice and fry for about 5 minutes.
4. In a small bowl, mix the tamarind juice, honey, fish sauce, and fresh chilies together well. Then pour the mixture over the rice and fry for about 5 minutes.
Fry until the rice absorbs the sauce and turns golden brown.
5. Once done, remove from heat. Then add the pineapple and mix well. After sprinkling with spring onions, you'll have a delicious Thai-style sweet and sour fried rice.
