Hello everyone! This time, for those who love Korean food, I'd like to share the recipe for a spicy Korean-style beef salad.

Ingredients

  • Beef 150 grams
  • Onion 1
  • Fish sauce 1½ tablespoons
  • Thinly sliced garlic 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon (optional, can be left out)
  • Ground black pepper
  • Spring onion 1 stalk (thinly sliced)
  • Chili powder 1 teaspoon
  • Fish sauce 1 teaspoon, sugar 1 teaspoon, vinegar 1 teaspoon, and sesame oil half a teaspoon

Step-by-step instructions

1. Slice the beef thinly into strips. Also slice the onion thinly into strips.

2. Next, in a bowl, mix together 1½ tablespoons of fish sauce, garlic, sugar, sesame seeds, and ground black pepper until well combined. Then knead the beef thoroughly with this fish sauce mixture and let it marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes.

3. In another bowl, add cold water and put in the thinly sliced spring onions, then soak for about 15 minutes.

In yet another bowl, add the chili powder, fish sauce, sugar, vinegar, and sesame oil, and mix well. Once 15 minutes have passed, remove the spring onions, squeeze out the water thoroughly, and mix them well with the chili powder mixture.

4. Heat a pan and add a little oil. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced beef and fry. When the beef is about halfway cooked, add the onions and stir-fry until well combined.

Once the garlic has softened and the beef is cooked through, you can take it off the stove.

5. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the fried beef and onions along with the chili sauce mixture prepared in step (3), and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, and you'll have a delicious spicy Korean-style beef salad ready to serve.
