- 1 pound of potatoes (peel and cut into small cubes, then wash and soak in ice water)
- 8 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons of flour
- Oil for frying
- Sugar, Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard (optional to add)
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a bowl, mix the warm water and sugar together well.
2. Add the dry yeast and wait a few minutes until the yeast dissolves.
3. Then, add the salt and flour a little at a time, mixing well for about 2 minutes.
4. After that, cover the bowl and let it rest for about 1 hour until the dough doubles in size.
5. Fill a pot with water and add the potato cubes to boil. Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them and rinse again with cold water. Then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
6. Put the boiled potatoes into a bowl and mix well with 2 tablespoons of flour.
7. Skewer the beef Hot Dog (or) chicken sausage sticks with a stick.
8. Heat a pan and add oil.
Arrange the breadcrumbs ready on one side of a tray, and place the potatoes on the other side.
9. Then, first roll the Hot Dog stick in the yeast dough. Then coat it with potato. Then coat it again with breadcrumbs. Once done, deep fry in hot oil for about 6 to 7 minutes.
Fry the remaining three Hot Dog sticks in the same way.
Once everything is fried, drizzle with Ketchup sauce.
Now you have delicious potato-coated Hot Dogs ready to enjoy!
