Hello there…. Lovely ladies….. When cooking at home, Non-Stick pans are a favorite among housewives since food doesn't stick to them and they're just so convenient to use. But as time goes on, Non-Stick pans tend to develop scratches and get damaged. Things we do carelessly without even realizing it can end up ruining our Non-Stick pans.
So, for housewives who may not have noticed why their Non-Stick pans get scratched, here are the things that cause Non-Stick pans to get damaged.
Using Metal Utensils
When cooking, if you use metal spoons or ladles, the metal will scratch the surface of the Non-Stick pan, so you should never use metal utensils. Instead of metal utensils, use spoons and ladles made of plastic.
Spraying Cooking Oil
If you're going to use Non-Stick pans, avoid using Cooking Spray. Cooking Sprays can leave residue behind, and over time, that residue becomes difficult to remove.
Cooking Foods That Contain Acid
When cooking foods high in acid, like tomatoes and oranges, don't use Non-Stick pans. This is because acid can damage Non-Stick pans.
Using High Heat
If you're going to cook things that require high heat, like frying or boiling, you shouldn't use Non-Stick pans. If you're using Non-Stick pans, it's best to use low to medium heat.
Washing the Pan Roughly
When washing Non-Stick pans, avoid using harsh detergents. This is because harsh detergents can damage the coating layer of the pan.
